This month we will read books from the 2023 list of most Challenged Books of 2022.
This month we will be talking about the problem of poverty in America. We will be joined in our conversation by Jill Hurst Wahl from the Poor People's Campaign.
For September we have a unique opportunity. On Tuesday, September 27, Author Sam Quiones will be Zooming with book clubs across Syracuse to talk about his book. Due to space issues we can only host 8 individuals. Registration Required We will still meet on our regular night to discuss the book among ourselves.
On July 28 Books and Beyond will discuss the ongoing crisis in Ukraine. In preparation please read " The Gates of Europe" to understand the history of the region and Ukraine's relationship with Russia.
For 2022 we will kick off the year looking at discrimination against people based on their age. Readers can choose between two books as listed below. One looks at discrimination against the elderly and the other about unfavorable attitudes toward youth. We look forward to a lively discussion.

We will be launching our Books & Beyond Book Club on April 29, where we will discuss The Sixth Extinction: An Unnatural History by Elizabeth Kolbert.
