The U.S. Passport Book is a globally accepted travel document regardless of mode of travel.

The U.S. Passport Card is a wallet-size card that can only be used for land and sea travel between the United States, Mexico, Canada, Bermuda, and the Caribbean.

CHECKLIST: The following documentation is required to begin the new Application process:

  • Official State-issued birth certificate (listing both parents), expired United States Passport, or naturalization certificate.
  • State-issued photo identification.
  • One check or money order for the application fee made payable to the U.S. Department of State.
  • Payment (cash, credit/debit card, or check) for the $35 execution fee payable to Liverpool Public Library.
  • Application form – Available online or at the library.
  • One Passport Photo – The Liverpool Public Library does take passport photos, $10/photo.

Processing Times are generally 6 - 8 weeks for routine service, 2 - 3 weeks for expedited service (additional fee).

Applicants age 16-17 must be accompanied by 1 parent

Applicants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by both parents, or provide Form DS-3053 “Statement of Consent” from the parent unable to appear.

FEES FOR ADULT APPLICANTS (16 Years & Older)

  • Adult Passport Book w $130 (+$35 execution fee payable to LPL)
  • Adult Passport Card w $30 (+$35 execution fee payable to LPL)
  • Adult Passport Book & Card w $160 (+$35 execution fee payable to LPL)

FEES FOR MINOR APPLICANTS (Under Age 16)

  • Minor Passport Book w $100 (+$35 execution fee payable to LPL)
  • Minor Passport Card w $15 (+$35 execution fee payable to LPL)
  • Minor Passport Book & Card w $115 (+$35 execution fee payable to LPL)

ADDITIONAL FEES:

  • Expedite Fee (per passport) w $60
  • Overnight Delivery w $21.36

Check or money order for the application fee is made payable to U.S. Department of State.

Liverpool Public Library accepts check, money order, debit/credit card, or cash for payment of the $35 execution fee.

Please note:  U.S. Passport fees are standardized.

           Every Passport Acceptance Agency charges a $35 execution fee.
